My husband and I have decided to renovate our kitchen. Well we are not renovating, but instead we are replacing our counter tops with tropical brown granite, painting our walls to a soft shade of brown, keepting our existing white cabinets and replacing the knobs with weathered nickel knobs, replacing all of the appliance to stainless steel, and changing the lights to track lighting and pendants over the island. This will cost us about 10,000.00, instead of 20,000 to replace the cabinets as well...

Pls. share your renovation stories.

Rennovating white kitchen

I'm rennovating my kitchen, which is seven years old. I have removed the wall paper and going to have the walls painted a light brown color. I'm contemplating on keeping the kitchen cabinets white and replacing the coutertops (as well as the island and desk area in the kitchen) with a tropical brown granite and having a refrigerator wall installed to make the frig look built in. or should I replace the cabinets with a maple wood and still use the same wall paint (brown) and tropical brown granite counterops. Oh. sorry the floors are honey hardwoods..
